مستقبل المدفوعات الخليجية يبدأ من بنية تحتيّة أكثر تكاملًا، وهنا يأتي دور شركة المدفوعات الخليجية.

تأسّست شركة المدفوعات الخليجية بقرار من المجلس الأعلى لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربيّة الصادر في ديسمبر 2016م، بهدف بناء وتطوير نظام يربط أنظمة المدفوعات في دول المجلس، ومقرّها الرئيسي في مدينة الرياض، ولديها فرع في مدينة أبو ظبي.

بدعم من البنوك المركزيّة الخليجيّة، تعمل الشركة على ربط أنظمة التسوية الإجمالية في دول المجلس، وتعزيز كفاءة التحويلات العابرة للحدود وكفاءة السيولة، لصالِح البنوك المشاركة وعملائها.

ومن خلال نظام المدفوعات الخليجي آفاق، تُسهّل الشركة تنفيذ التحويلات الماليّة بشكل آني بين دول الخليج ، بما يتيح إتمام العمليات بتسويات نهائية في اليوم ذاته، وبكفاءة عالية وتكلفة أقل.

The Gulf Payments Company (GPC) was founded in accordance with the GCC Supreme Council resolution in 2016, with the aim of building and developing a system to connect payment systems in the GCC countries. The Company is headquartered in Riyadh and has a branch in Abu Dhabi.

Supported by the GCC central banks, GPC connects the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) systems of the member states and enhances the efficiency of cross-border transfers and liquidity, for the benefit of participating banks and their customers. Through the AFAQ payments system, GPC facilitates real-time financial transfers across the GCC, enabling transactions to be completed with same-day final settlement, high efficiency, and lower cost.
